Government welcomes prestigious national biotech summit to WA

The nation's leading Bioshares Biotech Summit kicks off in Fremantle tomorrow - the first time this major event has been held in Western Australia.

The Cook Government has welcomed the summit coming to Perth in its 18th year of operation as a coup for the State's health and medical research sector and the range of exciting opportunities it presents for local businesses and investors.

The major biotech summit, which runs over two days and attracts hundreds of national and international delegates, is hosted by Bioshares, which is a leading biotech investment publication.

Participants include biotech companies as well as venture capital and investment fund partners, private investors, stockbrokers and investment professionals.

There will be around 25 key speakers from leading Australian biotech businesses attending the summit which is a highlight on the Australian biotech investment calendar.

The event also serves as an important high-level networking event for those within the industry and for investors seeking to get involved in the sector.

The Cook Government is the Event Partner for the Summit with Business Events Perth as the Destination Sponsor.

The Bioshares Biotech Summit is being held at the Esplanade Hotel in Fremantle over 12-13 July.
